Ok, here we have the Mio Alpha Heart Rate Monitor Watch.mio alpha This is a great HR monitor for those of you out there who do not like chest straps. The watch links via Bluetooth directly to your smart phone (I used an iPhone 4S at the time of this review)
It retails for about $82.00 but if your looking for an all around HR monitor this is the one.

It does not use the uncomfortable chest strap and is very lightweight and comfortable. You can swim with it also but it will not be as accurate. Its programmable too so if you have a desired HR you can program the watch to keep you in “THE ZONE”.

There were a couple of negatives…the charger is really short and limits where you can plug it into your computer and the buttons on the side of the watch are hard to push (most likely because its new)
